In 2012, he teamed up with David Houston for a track called "Politician Strut - Not All Are Saved - A Way" on Houston's eccentric Fugue project.
While working on his main projects, Cox wrote lyrics and vocal melodies for the Nobody Likes Neville EP, released in 2014. Nobody Likes Neville featured guitarist Eric McCullough, who would later go on to help Cox form the successful Baltimore based live band, We Love the Underground.
In 2018, Cox partnered with Joe Ruggiero of Think Again on a pop/rock project called The After Midnights. The duo released a handful of singles before inevitably calling it quits.
In 2021, Cox provided lyrics and vocals for a track called "Heaven Knows" featured on Christopher Mooneyhan's Story Hour project.
